This year is going by waaayyyy to fast. Like seriously it's September already. That means I'm leaving for Austria in a week, which means I have sooo much work to do and not a lot of time to do it!!! Anyway let's get to the books I read this month. During August I only read 3 books, which is kind of dissapointing, but I got a TON of writing done so it all kind of even outs.
BOUND by Erica O'Rourke
I freaking love everything Erica O'Rourke writes. From here on out if she writes it, I'll read it. BOUND is the conclusion to the TORN trilogy and it did not dissapoint. I really can't talk about it without giving away spoilers. Basically everyone should read this series.
ASUNDER by Jodi Meadows
ASUNDER is the sequel to INCARNATE and the second book in the Newsoul trilogy. Usually the second book in a trilogy is a bit of a let down compared to the first book, but ASUNDER did not follow that pattern at all. I liked INCARNATE, but I loooooved ASUNDER. Once again I can't say much in case of spoilers, but it was fast paced and kept me on my toes the entire time. I hated everytime I had to tear myself away from it. I can't wait to read the last book.
PHOENIX OVERTURE by Jodi Meadows
PHOENIX OVERTURE is the novella in the New Soul trilogy. It's supposed to be read between books 2 and 3, but is actually a prequel. It is the origin story of Sam and explains how everyone started to be reincarnated in the first place. It took me a little while to get used to Sam's voice versus Ana's, but then I really got into it. Even though I knew a character wasn't going to make it to the end (because they aren't present in the books) I was still devastated when they died. I'm still not completely over it. Anyhoo, it was a fun bridge between ASUNDER and the final book in the series, INFINITE.
