2015 is (almost) officially over. I managed to read a total of 51 books this year. This was the first year I managed to read 50+ books and I couldn't be prouder of myself!!!! I only challenged myself to read 35 books this year. I challenged myself low because for almost half the year I was in Austria and I assumed I wouldn't be able to read too many books. While I was only partially right I managed to read a ton of books over the summer, which gave me a nice boost.
This year I read plenty of books I loved and several that left me rather dissapointed. Overall I'd say it was a good year and I definitely ended it on a high note.
Below I listed the top 10 books I read in 2015. They are listed in the order that I read them. I attempted to put them in order of favorite to absolute favorite, but got stuck at 2.
My Top 10 2015 Reads

THIS SHATTERED WORLD by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
The second book in the STARBOUND series, THIS SHATTERED WORLD was so hard for me to read because I am so attached to these characters and they just thrown into one crappy scenario after another. I kept having to put the book down because I couldn't handle it.
I recently received the last book in the trilogy for Christmas and can't wait to read it. Though I'm also completely terrified to.
I'LL MEET YOU THERE by Heather Demetrios
If I were to order these books, I'LL MEET YOU THERE would be my absolute favorite. I'm normally not drawn to serious contemporaries, but there was something about this book that made me keep coming back to it. I bought it on a whim and when I received it I decided to read the first chapter just to get a feel for it. I was currently in the middle of a different book and overwhelmed by midterms, but I finished this book in less than 3 days. Then I forced everyone I knew to read it.
Basically if you haven't read this book. Do. Right now.
THE WINNER'S CRIME by Marie Rutkoksi
If I'LL MEET YOU THERE is my absolute favorite read of the year, THE WINNER'S CRIME comes in second. THE WINNER'S trilogy just kills me inside and I can't think about them too hard otherwise the wait for the last book becomes too agonizing.
THE WRATH & THE DAWN by Renee Ahdieh
I also can't think about THE WRATH & THE DAWN too much without my heart hurting too much.
DOVE ARISING by Karen Bao
DOVE ARISING was an amazing scifi debut. I wish more people knew about the awesomeness of this book. I'm looking really forward to this sequel.
RESONANCE by Erica O'Rourke
Another series that deserves more attention. RESONANCE and the first book DISSONANCE, are absolutely amazing. The characters are dynamic and the writing exquisite. I also read Erica's TORN trilogy and she is officially on my auto-buy list.
ASUNDER by Jodi Meadows
I read ASUNDER and the whole NEW SOUL trilogy this year. They blew my mind, especially ASUNDER. Once again I think this series deserves a lot more love.
QUEEN OF SHADOWS by Sarah J. Maas
Sarah is a master storyteller. Each installment in the THRONE OF GLASS series gets richer and richer and the world stronger.
THE RAVEN BOYS by Maggie Stiefvater
I waited way too long to read THE RAVEN BOYS. I was hesitant to start this book because I wasn't the biggest fan of the SHIVER trilogy. I just didn't love it like everyone else. THE RAVEN BOYS is a whole other story. After reading this book I wanted to tell everyone I passed on the street to read this book.
WINTER by Marissa Meyer
Everytime I remember that THE LUNAR CHRONICLES is over, I start to cry a little. But then I read my favorite parts of WINTER and the other books in the series and I feel better. I could not have asked for a better end to an amazing series.
So these are my top ten books from 2015. As hard as it is for me to believe that 2015 is over I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store!
